Organization Description

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and generosity of donors.

Program Information

The Red Cross as a whole has five main lines of service.

1) Emergency and Disaster response

2) International services

3) Service to armed forces

4) Health and Safety

5) Blood Services.

In Blood services we offer different organizations the opportunity to give back to the community by giving the gift of life. Each blood donation saves three lives.

Health & Safety

Students will need to complete a background check; more information about this process will be covered during the orientation. The American Red Cross covers these costs. Volunteers can contact Kat Barnes at (213) 610-6104 or at Kathleen.Barnes@redcross.org
