Organization Description

Our mission is to advocate for civil rights, provide legal services and education, and build coalitions to positively influence and impact Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders and to create a more equitable and harmonious society. We serve low-income, immigrant communities of color located within the greater Southern California area.

Programs and Services Offered

The Youth & Parent Leadership Development (YPLD) unit serves over 1000 students annually through leadership and social justice curriculum within classroom based and lunchtime/after-school programs. Most of our programs are located within Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley areas. YPLD also hosts large events throughout the year such as the Family Empowerment Festival based out of CSULA.

Health & Safety

We expect all volunteers to complete a live scan and fingerprinting. Volunteers who are working within the school district may need a TB test as well.
