By the end of this opportunity, students will have gained essential skills in social media strategy, content creation, and brand promotion specifically for the Black community. They will learn community engagement techniques, analyze social media metrics to measure success, and effectively promote events. Enhanced communication skills will be developed alongside cultural competence and teamwork experience. Additionally, students will refine their time management abilities while balancing multiple projects. Student Intern Training Agenda Duration: 1.5-2 hours 1. Welcome & Overview - Introduction to organization, mission, intern role expectations, and policies. 2. Alumni Relations & Event Basics - Key practices for alumni engagement, event support, and guest interaction. 3. Data Management - CRM software basics: data entry, updates, and privacy standards. 4. Communication Standards - Professional email, phone etiquette, and social media guidelines. 5. Safety & Compliance - Workplace safety protocols, emergency procedures, and compliance.
Safety Information for Social Media Interns Digital Safety: Educate interns on data privacy, password security, and phishing awareness to protect accounts and personal information. Content Guidelines: Guide on using respectful, inclusive language and promoting positive representation of the Black community. Event Safety: Establish protocols for crowd management, emergency contacts, and safe travel for in-person events. Reporting Procedures: Outline steps for reporting safety concerns and offer resources for interns facing harassment or needing mental health support.
