Opportunity Summary 

Invizyne is a startup in the biotech space developing and commercializing environmentally friendly enzymatic synthesis (biochemistry) as a replacement for the petrochemical industry.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

the intern will learn the basic methodology in a biochemistry based company. Specific skills include fermentation, sterile technique, microbial transformations and culture conditions, enzyme expression, testing and manufacturing.

Opportunity Training 

the intern will be trained in basic biotechnology methodology (fermentation, protein production, assays).

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

general chemistry and biochemistry background and safety are a prerequisite. Specific safety training will be provided onsite
