Joining Onshore Technologies will allow students get a very detailed glimpse into the nuances of running a growing manufacturing company based in wire harnesses, which accounts for some of the largest volumes of production yearly in the United States. Here, students can learn detailed information about the supply chain, finance accounting, electronics manufacturing, shipping, quality control, and more.
By the end of our opportunity, students will have first hand experiences in dealing with the supply chain, company management, the manufacturing processes, quality control, and finance operations.
Students will be trained by both lectures and hands-on instructions by their on-site supervisor(s). These trainings will typically be done as they work on their tasks and may last several minutes to several hours depending on the tasks that these students will be assigned to.
Students will be trained on in-progress safety, alongside current in-house safety procedures regarding equipment, hazardous materials, and work load related safety. Furthermore, students will attend monthly safety demonstrations and meetings that are mandatory.
