Long Beach, CA Showroom Fabric Assistant- In PersonAt — Yu Yuang Textile Co., Ltd.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the development of new and innovative fabrics. This requires a 4-5 hour a week commitment for 1 month with option to extend future months. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or university program working towards a degree and able to receive course accreditation. This position is primarily remote with 1 session to take place in the Showroom. Qualifications • Strong sense of urgency • Strong understanding and passion for textiles or the apparel industry • Strong attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and deliver high-quality results on time • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Team player and self-starter • Effective organizational and time-management skills • Outgoing, positive, honest, loyal, and dependable • Takes ownership and pride in achieving impactful results for the company
The Fabric Assistant will be responsible for: • Organizing and maintaining the fabric library • Communicating with internal partners on material availability for sampling and hangers • Receiving and checking in all in-house materials and ensuring that sample yardage is available • Assisting the team in preparing for client meetings and tradeshows • Supporting the oversees and US team in areas relating to sales, marketing and R&D • Managing inventory of fabrics in showroom.
On site and virtual training will be provided as tasks are given.
The work will be primarily done virtually with minimal time in the office.
