Social work intern or behavior health analysis intern At — Special Needs Network
Students placed with Special Needs Network will gain hands-on experience supporting children and families that are being affected by autism and other disabilities. Interns will assist with program activities, and direct support services. This opportunity allows students to develop skills that they will later in life need in social work.
Students will have strengthened their understanding of professional communication, rapport building, and observation skills through direct interactions with children and families.
2 weeks of training with a BT trainer in which they will then assign the students with a low-mid behavior client. Throughout the whole time they will be assisted with their assigned BC and BCBA for additional support.
Supervisors will ensure students are not placed in situations requiring physical intervention and will provide guidance when working with children and families. Any concerns will be reported immediately to supervisors to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
