Opportunity Summary 

The student intern will assist with financial and business operations within a hospitality and restaurant environment. Responsibilities may include sales tracking, cost analysis, budgeting support, inventory monitoring, expense reporting, cash handling procedures, operational reporting, and general business administration. The internship will provide hands-on exposure to financial decision-making, customer service operations, and day-to-day business management in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned practical skills related to financial analysis, budgeting, cost control, inventory management, operational reporting, and business decision-making within a hospitality environment. Students will also strengthen their communication, professionalism, problem-solving, teamwork, and customer service skills while gaining hands-on experience in day-to-day restaurant and business operations.

Opportunity Training 

Students and interns will receive training related to business operations and financial management within a hospitality environment. This may include exposure to budgeting, cost control, inventory tracking, sales reporting, cash handling procedures, point-of-sale systems, basic financial analysis, expense management, payroll support, and customer transaction processes. Students will also receive training on workplace professionalism, communication, operational procedures, and supervision from experienced staff members throughout the placement.

Students participating in this opportunity may have access to financial and operational business information, including sales reports, budgeting data, inventory records, and cash handling procedures. Students will receive training regarding confidentiality, proper handling of sensitive business information, secure use of point-of-sale and reporting systems, and professional financial practices. Management staff will provide supervision and guidance to ensure students follow workplace policies, operational procedures, and safety expectations in a professional business environment.
