Patient Care Volunteer/InternAt — Healing Care Hospice & Palliative
Students working to obtain their Bachelor's degrees in social work or related field or RN license are able to obtain internship hours with our company under direct supervision. They will be able to shadow professionals and obtain real world experience in their field.
By the end of this opportunity. students will feel more confident working with patients. They will gain knowledge on hospice and what it entails to provide comfort-care to patients experience a terminal illness.
Training will be provided in person and through watching videos from our Bridge training courses that are required for all volunteers and interns.
Masks are not required but encouraged. Volunteers and interns will need to take precautions when entering any patient's home and notify their site supervisor of any concerns in the home such as insects.
A volunteer/intern application will be submitted via Docusign. A background check will follow. Lastly, all required documentation will need to be turned in by the first day of orientation.
