Opportunity Summary 

The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans waves and beaches. Join our network and help us tackle the issues that face our coastal and nearshore ocean environment.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will have the opportunity to focus their volunteer hours on a variety of interdisciplinary projects that will gain them hands-on experience in the fields of environmental science, marketing, communications, non-profit business management, waste management, and/or more.

Opportunity Training 

Depending on the student's major, we will provide training in person, on zoom, and through videos. Surfrider Foundation has an online program called Surfrider University that offers dozens of free courses to Surfrider volunteers.

For in person volunteer opportunities, All volunteers must also follow Surfrider Covid precautions including social distancing and wearing masks while signing in and while indoors
