Service Learning OpportunitiesAt — CSUCI Center for Community Engagement

Purpose of the position:

The Center for Community Engagement utilizes CSUCI SERVES, a database for community partners, faculty, and students to use as a tool for service-learning. The purpose of this service-learning opportunity will be to update the database with current opportunities, staff contacts, and organization information. The student will learn about the importance of campus-community partnerships. Can be done remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Become familiar with the CSUCI SERVES database and the 80 plus community partner profiles
• Contact community partners to retrieve current information
• Update community partner profiles with current service-learning opportunities, staff contacts, and organization information
• Report directly to Community Partner Coordinator on progress

Required knowledge/skills/abilities:

Current CSUCI student enrolled in COMM 499: Communications Capstone. Must have computer, oral communication, and written communication skills. Must conduct themselves in a professional manner. Must have access to a computer, internet, and telephone. Willingness to learn. Service-oriented.
