Get hands-on experience with a local nonprofit arts organization. Learn about donor outreach and fundraising campaigns. Assist with research for grant writing opportunities and see what goes into the creation and execution of various arts outreach programs - both in schools and in the community.
FOTM has two objectives: 1) to document and archive extraordinary artists and their work through photographic portraits, audio, and video interviews, and biographical research that encompass each artist’s experiences, artistic reflections, and development; and 2) to present this work to a broad public through extensive education outreach to all ages – including at-risk youth through our Learning to See Youth Outreach program, public monthly Artist Spotlight Series, exhibitions, publications, website, and an extensive resource library.

A variety of skills related to nonprofit development and fundraising as well as the building and execution of public programming in arts education. Students may also learn how to maintain, organize, and document an art archive and resource library.
All students will work with a mentor upon arrival, who will show them the best practices for the various tasks they are expected to carry out.
First aid and medical supplies are available if needed on site. All students must complete an emergency contact and information form upon orientation.
