Opportunity Summary 

As part of the service learning experience, the CSUCI student will work alongside the CMH Marketing team to review audience research, analyze market trends, and craft messaging that aligns with the organization's brand and goals. The student will contribute to content creation, copy editing, and brand consistency. The student will monitor engagement metrics, use tools such as Sprout Social, Instagram Insights, and Google Forms to measure campaign effectiveness. This service learning project will provide the student with the opportunity to collaborate on professional projects, communicate strategically, and use media to create a positive impact - key competencies for a career in media and journalism, communications, and marketing.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

1) Analyze Market and Consumer Data

• Identify and interpret key market trends, target audience behaviors, and competitive positioning.

• Use market research tools to gather insights that inform campaign strategy.

2) Define Campaign Objectives and Strategy

• Identify SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals aligned with business objectives.

• Collaborate on the development of a clear value proposition and brand messaging strategy.

3) Segment and Target Audiences

• Apply demographic, psychographic, behavioral, and geographic segmentation.

• Select appropriate target audiences and justify targeting decisions.

4) Design Integrated Marketing Communications

•Create a cohesive campaign using a mix of digital, traditional, and experiential marketing communications.

•Select appropriate media channels based on campaign goals and audience preferences.

5) Develop Campaign Content and Creative Assets

• Craft persuasive messaging and visual concepts that resonate with the target audience.

• Collaborate on the creation of advertisements, social media content, and promotional materials.

6) Plan Campaign Logistics and Budget

• Create a campaign timeline, task list, and budget plan.

7) Measure and Evaluate Campaign Effectiveness

• Define key performance indicators (KPls) and metrics for success.

• Analyze campaign results and make data-informed recommendations for improvement.
