Opportunity Summary
Learn to promote community engagement in the context of a small coffee house/cafe/event space. Learn about outreach, staying connected/marketing and organizing. Manage young (high school) volunteers.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
Students will learn the elements of engaging community, leadership skills, small business skills and retail skills, managing non-profit events, and/or kitchen and barista skills.
Opportunity Training
Training will depend on activity and be thoroughly supervised.
Additional risk specific to this opportunity
To work in cafe/front of house, food service certificate will be required.
