Opportunity Summary 

Social Media:

Student will work with staff to create a body of social media content that can be drawn from for social media posts.

Telling the Story Video Project:

Students will create scripts, then reach out to service learning faculty to record brief interviews with the faculty member, one or more students from the course, one or more community partners where the students are placed, and potentially with one or more community members being served by the organization and the SL students. The goal is to complete several recorded interviews each month and to begin to create videos that tell a story from varying perspectives. These can result in social media posts, articles, quotes and vignettes to be shared.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Interviewing skills, Camtasia editing skills, a deeper understanding of the impact of service learning on students, faculty, and the community, and a greater awareness of community issues being addressed.
