Opportunity Summary
Become a Literacy Lab Intern! The Girls In. Literacy Lab Program highlights best practices and strategies to ensure girls grades k-3rd grader are reading at grade-level competency. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our Girls Inc. girls.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
- Effectively facilitate small reading groups to help improve reading scores of each participant.
- Develop a supportive environment for the k-3rd grade girls while providing safe and supervised activities.
- Assist in conducting pre and post program reading assessments
- Learn case management functions and roles
Opportunity Training
Intern Orientation and Training with Program Staff Weekly check-ins with Supervisor and Literacy Lab Team
Additional risk specific to this opportunity
Due to safety concerns for our participants all volunteers/ intern must show proof of vaccination prior to being placed. In addition, weekly Covid test are required. Testing sites within the school district. No outside agencies needed for Covid test.
