Opportunity Summary
Confidence Boost HER focuses on self-esteem, mental health support, and promoting healthy identities with a trauma-responsive approach. Literacy Lab participants will expand their vocabulary and reading comprehension skills through individual and group reading in ways that make reading fun! The Family Resource Center allows participants to create and work on hands-on projects that will focus on science, technology, engineering, and math.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
Facilitate small group sessions, classroom management, great leadership, empathy for afterschool participants, and communication skills.
Opportunity Training
2 hour pre-placement training prior to placement to ensure students has the necessary tools and resources to be successful.
