Opportunity Summary 

Interested in making an impact in a high-need community? Looking to implement what you're learning in school or gain work experience? GOALS aims to create an environment that enriches the lives of not only the youth but also the staff/interns/volunteers.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Of course this depends on the length of the service-learning position and the inititative that the student takes in this opportunity, but essentially you will have the ability to with gain or refines skills in the following areas: Leadership, Communication, Coaching, Mentoring, Classroom and Behavior Management, Non-Profit Organizational Structures, and so much more!

Opportunity Training 

Training will be on-site and very hands-on. The student will receive the basic outline of programming and expectations of staff and then will have to the opportunity to shadow then become fully immersed in the programming.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Students will be working in close proximity to large populations of children and adults, even during peak COVID periods.
