ABA Intern At — The Autism Collaborative Group

Opportunity Summary 

Interested in learning about Autism. ACG utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to develop individualized and highly effective programs in order to reduce maladaptive behaviors and teach appropriate replacement skills.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Common deficits and excess associated with Autism. Students will learn about ABA including common functions of behavior, reinforcement and curriculum used to teach replacement skills. Gain skills in effective communication and collaboration by working with a variety of people, cultures and backgrounds. Be an integral park of the learning process for students from start to finish. Learn how to create learning materials and learn how they are used to teach. You will gain knowledge in treating individuals with ASD and related disorders with respect and dignity.

Opportunity Training 

Students will always be paired with a behavior interventionist. They will assist and observe ABA sessions. Our Behavior Interventionist and clinical supervisors will describe the curriculum.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

We will provide an orientation describing the guidelines followed here at clinic. Students will never be left alone and will always be with a behavior interventionist.

Opportunity Application Instructions 

We are looking for students that have worked with children in the past or currently. Example, preschool, babysitting, youth groups etc.
