Opportunity Summary 

The purpose of this project is to increase cooking skills and healthy eating choices. Nutrition students will work in conjunction with the Oasis Community Center staff and the CSUDH Occupational Therapy interns to establish and plan cooking activities. Students will also assist in presenting the class curriculum and administering the survey in order to establish and document and change in residents attending the class.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Risks associated with food preparation and cooking. Must be aware of safe food handling, safe use of cooking equipment (sharp knives, heated surfaces, etc.).
