Our friendly skilled staff of health care professionals are here to help our participants achieve optimum health so they can “live life to the fullest”. We seek to expand health care and human services to provide for the growing needs of the frail, elderly, and disabled adults. We serve persons with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s, persons with mental health issues, persons with chronic medical impairments, and persons with disabilities.

Homeless Intervention Services of Orange County (HIS-OC) currently runs four programs that assist people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Our shelters and supportive service programs provide assistance to our community’s most vulnerable population. HIS-OC does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.

Through zero fault of their own, many children enter emergency foster care with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and they often travel from home to home carrying their few personal items in a plastic trash bag. Hope in a Suitcase provides NEW luggage and NEW clothing, shoes essentials and comfort items to make their transition a little easier, and to remind children that their belongings deserve the same level of respect as they do, no matter where they go.

Housing Long Beach uniquely meets the needs of Long Beach residents by working to improve, preserve and increase the supply of affordable housing for the well-being of Long Beach residents through community organizing, policy work and systems change. Our vision is a Long Beach where all residents live in affordable, accessible, quality housing in healthy and empowered communities where government officials are responsive to the social and economic needs of all residents. Our housing work focuses in three main areas: (1) Enacting long-term policies that will impact housing development; (2) Responding to housing issues that are more immediate for residents; and (3) Building an infrastructure to allow residents to meaningfully engage and build the necessary power to make changes for their communities.

A multi-service, countywide program which breaks the cycle of domestic violence at every stage through safety, healing, and a way forward. Human Options provides safe haven and life changing programs to help abused women, their children and families rebuild their lives - and works with the community to break the cycle of domestic violence.
