Opportunity Summary 

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County is looking for energetic students with a background in STEAM Disciplines (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) to support our club members during STEAM programming.

Through project based learning and group-learning environments, BGCMC’s STEAM program provides youth with a variety of projects to leverage interests and prepare them for academic success. Service learners will aid in the prep, breakdown, and facilitation of program lessons as well as building positive relationships with members. Service learners may also be asked to aid in the upkeep of the BGCMC garden and/or maintenance of the animals that reside in the science center.

Requirements:

  • Background check (fingerprinting/livescan)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination

 

Opportunity Training

  • Duty to Report
  • Abuse Risk Management
  • Keeping Your BGC Safe

Service Learners will always be supervised by staff when around members. Check-ins will happen often.
