Exercise for Parkinson's diseaseAt — Power Over Parkinson's

Opportunity Summary

At Power Over Parkinson's, we use non-contact boxing and exercise to help people with Parkinson's disease move and feel better. The volunteer's role will be to assist in exercise classes by demonstrating exercises to members, helping people move from one exercise to another, and being a friendly face for our members. Students will be expected to be moving and active during exercise classes.

Power Over Parkinson's has a fun and friendly atmosphere in which we are doing our best to improve others' quality of life. If you're interested in a fun, upbeat learning experience, this is definitely the place to be.

No exercise experience is necessary but you must be willing to be hands on (as some members need help getting in and out of chairs or need help with exercise equipment), to learn new skills, and have fun while you're doing it.
