Opportunity Summary 

This is an opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team providing substance use disorder treatment in a residential facility to men of primarily lower socioeconomic status with chronic substance use issues, many with a co-ocurring mental health issues and chronic medical concerns often ignored.

Reserved for students in NURS 498S.

Requirements:

  • Background Check (e.g. fingerprinting/livescan, driving record)
  • Health Check/Screening (e.g. temperature screening, COVID-19 test)
  • Must be 18 or older
  • TB Test
  • COVID Vaccinations
  • Bilingual Desired
Opportunity Training 

We will provide training by allowing time for the observation of others performing the duties and individual consultation.  

We will have weekly group meetings, individual meetings, and the availability of other staff for information and assistance for on-going supervision.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Many clients have been incarcerated or homeless, however we do not see them as being of a safety concern.
