Education DocentAt — Farm Discovery at Live Earth

Opportunity Summary 

The Education Docent will be responsible for co-leading field trips for elementary students at Farm Discovery at Live Earth. These field trips last two hours and include preparing, co-leading, and cleaning up. Some activities we do with the students include visiting our farm animals, harvesting in-season vegetables, and making apple cider.

Requirements:

  • Background Check (e.g. fingerprinting/livescan, driving record)
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Bilingual Desired
  • Own transportation to/from farm in Watsonville
Opportunity Training 

Students will have an orientation, opportunities to shadow programs, and training materials will be provided.

Supervisors will be on site and leading field trips alongside students. There will be time at the end for reflection and feedback as well as in the moment coaching and support offered.
