Opportunity Summary 

Reserved for Service Learning Student Leaders (SL2) with Thomas Carman Food Pantry.

Community-based Service Learning Student Leaders (SL2) offer support by:

  1. developing service learning partnerships with faculty;
  2. recruiting, placing, training, and coordinating service learners;
  3. conducting reflection sessions at the midterm and end of semester;
  4. providing direct service to the community organization. 

SL2s also assist service learners in the logistical aspects of service learning (e.g., identifying an appropriate service placement, completing Learning Agreements, and finding transportation to and from their service sites).
