Outreach and Education For Bird Conservation - Monterey Audubon Society (MAS)At — Monterey Audubon Society (MAS)

Opportunity Summary

Monterey Audubon seeks motivated CSUMB students to help assist with promoting conservation and environmental concepts, ideas, and calls to action via websites, social media, or direct public outreach. We want to share the joy of birds with the wider Monterey Bay area, and inspire people to take action to support birds and wildlife, which ultimately helps humans, too! By inspiring people to love nature, both in their own neighborhoods or across the globe, we hope they will make decisions to help protect it.

Opportunity Training

All information about birds, natural history, and ways to help birds will be shared with the students. There are numerous trusted resources that will be shared, but we also are glad to listen to ideas coming from the students.

We will meet at least weekly via Zoom to go over plans for upcoming social media posts, public outreach days on the coast, or other ways to share information about how to help local birds and wildlife.
