Volunteer Catroom Cleaner - Hitchcock Road Animal Services At — Hitchcock Road Animal Services
The role of the catroom cleaner at Hitchcock Road Animal Services is to maintain the health of the cats that are adoptable at the shelter. Feeding and cleaning guidelines are to be strictly followed and no shortcuts are allowed. Trained in cat socialization to be safe around cats and kittens. Trained to report and health and or behavior issues.

- Background Check (e.g. fingerprinting/livescan, driving record)
- Health Check/Screening (e.g. temperature screening, COVID-19 test)
- Must be 18 or older
- TB Test
All students have to attend an orientation, go to the Monterey County Sheriff's Department for fingerprinting, attend onboarding at Monterey County Health Department, and go to Natividad Medical Center for TB testing to volunteer at Hitchcock Road Animal Services. The ongoing best practices come from Veterinary Colleges and help us to maintain the health of the shelter.
This placement requires working with hazardous materials, heavy equipment, construction equipment, heights, or heavy machinery. Volunteers use cleaning supplies that could be hazardous to their health.
