STEAM Service LearnerAt — Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County, Salinas
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC) is looking for energetic students with a background in STEAM Disciplines (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) to support our club members during STEAM programming. Through project based learning and group-learning environments, BGCMC’s STEAM program provides youth with a variety of projects to leverage interests and prepare them for academic success. Service learners will aid in the prep, breakdown, and facilitation of program lessons as well as building positive relationships with members. Service learners may also be asked to aid in the upkeep of the BGCMC garden and/or maintenance of the animals that reside in the science center.

- Background Check (e.g. fingerprinting/livescan, driving record)
Service learners will need to attend these trainings:
• Orientation
• Duty to Report
• Abuse Risk Management
• Keeping Your BGC Safe.
Service Learners will always be supervised by staff when around members. Check-ins will happen often.
