Opportunity Summary 

A behavior specialist implements the behavior plan as designed by the BCBA. A behavior specialist works directly with the learner, makes observations and accurately documents the observations on data sheets. This is a highly collaborative position as the behavior specialist regularly communicates with all team members regarding the learners’ programming.

Opportunity Training 

Hands-on training will be given, along with many opportunities to attend professional development workshops. Staff will receive ongoing coaching by a Board Certified Behavior Analysis and qualified behavioral technicians. An opportunity to go through our online Course of Study that teaches you the fundamentals of Applied Behavior Analysis in relation to the Competent Learner Model. Weekly check in and overlaps are in place from supervisors.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Students may be working unsupervised with minor or other vulnerable populations. Students may be working with individuals who pose an elevated risk of harm or injury to them. Students may be working with Developmentally Disabled Persons.

Parking and work areas may not be secure or adequately illuminated. Students may be at Clients' homes: Marina, Seaside and Pacific Grove.
