Opportunity Summary 

2025 is our 16th summer serving youth from all over Monterey County and welcoming families from across the country....

At The Wahine Project, we invite diverse youth to join us for weekly beach camps that are divided up into age groups, gender choiced, and co ed. No previous ocean experience is required. Youth will enjoy time in the sea, introduced to all aspects of ocean interactions, play, body surfing, body boarding, surfing. OR seasoned kiddos will have time to expand and strengthen their skills.

AM sessions are divided into gender groups and age groups. There is always an allowance for youth to participate in the gender group of their choice. PM Sessions are co-ed.

And we need YOU - CSUMB SERVICE LEARNERS - to assist with these amazing experiences, making sure youth are safe and having fun!

Summer sessions, weekly:

  • Monday - Friday, June 2 - July 31
  • AM shift-  8:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
  • PM shift- 12:45 - 4:15 p.m.
  • All sessions are at Casa Verde Beach, 1 Beach Way, Monterey, CA

There will be 1 Saturday session in June and 1 Sunday session in July.
