Education and Outreach via creation of jingles (short songs) At — Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District (MPRPD)

Opportunity Summary 

We are looking for creative service learners to work with our staff to create jingles (short songs) to help promote our mission to preserve and protect our natural resources using thematic statements. We hope these jingles can be used as in social media posts, to train our volunteers and staff, for school groups and visitors of all ages, and in our visitor centers. We will provide an orientation, the text, and context.

Priority given to CART 399S students.

Opportunity Training 

There is an orientation about the Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District and an overview of our Visitor Interpretive Experience Plan which includes our mission, vision, interpretive goals, and themes.

Schedule: Weekly meetings with staff (Sunday - Wednesday) AND service learners will work together in teams either in person or via zoom. Team leads will rotate weekly giving an opportunity for each individual to share leading team update meetings with staff.
