Vital Documents database creatorAt — Wings Homeless Advocacy

Opportunity Summary

Our Vital Documents Team processes between 400 and 500 birth certificate applications for people experiencing homelessness in Santa Cruz County each year. A birth certificate is the first step to getting onto a path of housing and is required for ID, housing programs, accepting a job, enrolling in school, and receiving benefits -virtually anything that will help someone stabilize and become self-sufficient. The current database that we use to store all of this confidential information for our clients has outlasted its usefulness and we need a new database to continue to serve the county appropriately and to be able to access a lot of info in a secure and timely manner. This project would require a person with appropriate database and programming skills to learn the info we need to store and track and create a new user-friendly database for us going forward.
