Print on Demand Artist Empowerment InitiativeAt — Hijos Del Sol Arts Productions

Opportunity Summary

In 2024, we launched our Fine Art America print-on-demand store to help our artists share their creativity with the world. Through this initiative, young artists can sell their artwork as prints, mugs, hats, towels, and more, allowing them to earn money and start savings accounts. Advanced artists also benefit by profiting from their sales and sharing a portion with Hijos del Sol Arts Productions, supporting both their growth and our mission. This is a brand new initiative for Hijos del Sol.

We Need Your Help!

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Market Our Platform: Help us promote our print-on-demand store to our supporters, the local community, and beyond. Your efforts will put our artists’ work on the radar of art lovers everywhere.
  2. Manage Proceeds: Develop a system to accurately track sales and split proceeds among artists and Hijos del Sol, ensuring everyone gets their fair share.
  3. Assist Young Artists: Work with our younger artists (ages 4-18) to photograph or scan their artwork and upload it to the Fine Art America site. Your guidance will help them showcase their talent to the world.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity

Hijos Del Sol (HDS) currently serves a higher number of minors than adults. Although HDS has on-site instructors, it is important to state that some minors are not supervised by a parent/guardian other than HDS instructors.

HSD has an experimental art studio which means there are plenty of materials/equipment. It is advised that heavier equipment be handled by professionals, although at times it may be needed to be handled by the volunteers.

HSD's hours of operation are from 4:30pm - 8pm.  In the winter time, this means working at night and extra precautions while leaving the worksite at night are encouraged.
