Additional risk specific to this opportunity

Hijos Del Sol (HDS) currently serves a higher number of minors than adults. Although HDS has on-site instructors, it is important to state that some minors are not supervised by a parent/guardian other than HDS instructors.

HSD has an experimental art studio which means there are plenty of materials/equipment. It is advised that heavier equipment be handled by professionals, although at times it may be needed to be handled by the volunteers.

HSD's hours of operation are from 4:30 pm - 8pm.  In the winter time, this means working at night and extra precautions while leaving the worksite at night are encouraged.
