NAMI Monterey County offers hope and reduction of stigma associated with mental illness through education, advocacy, service access, and support for families and their loved ones living with a mental illness. To this end, the agency seeks to enhance the quality and fulfillment of their lives through wellness and recovery.
As a community service volunteer, you will be supporting youth programs and community outreach efforts. Opportunities include: research and recruitment, program familiarization, communication support, sutreach and networking, and data management.
Successful candidates are eager to learn about the mental health field, open to new experiences, and enthusiastic about contributing to meaningful change with a sense of organization.
The risks involved include but are not limited to: reputation, engaging with vulnerable populations, and outreaching to the general public and at high school campuses.
