Literacy Internship - Teach adults how to read and write!At — Watsonville Public Library

Opportunity Summary 

You will have the opportunity to provide one-on-one tutoring, teach grammar, reading, and citizenship classes, as well as assist with various administrative tasks and outreach efforts. Our goal is to support your learning journey and help you achieve your educational objectives!

We are open Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm, very flexible for working students!

15 service learning spots

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Bilingual Desired (not required)
Opportunity Training 

Three-hour tutor training and training for leading/assisting all classes offered.

There will always be a literacy assistant with you at the office.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

The Watsonville Public Library is open Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm, which in the winter time closes in the night/dark.  You choose your schedule and do not need to work late.
