Research Assistant - CCWGAt — Central Coast Wetlands Group (CCWG)

Opportunity Summary 

Students will be able to assist us with multiple active projects. Opportunities may include field work to collect data on fish, vegetation, water quality, etc. Students may also be able to aid in habitat restoration which could include removing invasive species and planting natives in dune or wetland habitats. Students may also be asked to enter data collected in the field to the data portal corresponding with the project.

Opportunity Training 

Students will receive hands-on training for all data collection and restoration activities. Data entry training will also be provided in the office and students will be able to do this activity primarily unsupervised.

We will be in the field to provide support and guidance for field work and restoration. We will also be in the office to provide assistance with data entry. I am also reachable by phone or email if students are doing data entry at home.
