Opportunity Summary 

The Community Programs Intern will work along side a team of community health educators and non-profit staff to implement community programs focus on improving access to health care for low-income communities. Areas of focus include: Medi-Cal and health coverage enrollment for low-income populations, health education and patient navigation regarding breast and cervical cancer screening for rarely or never screening individuals. Intern will work collaboratively with community health center staff and non-profit leadership.

Opportunity Training 

Student will be provided with training for each assignment to ensure student understands what, how and why they are completing responsibilities. Training will be available in-person and through ZOOM (if possible to complete training virtually). Student will also be able to access trainings intended for working with specific populations (often documented by other non--profits and county agencies).
