SP25 CST 462S: Photo Platform ResearchAt — Big Sur Land Trust (BSLT)

Opportunity Summary

Big Sur Land Trust (BSLT) is a non-profit dedicated to inspiring a love of land, conserving Monterey County’s unique landscapes, and providing outdoor access for all. The organization envisions a future where natural and urban spaces, working lands, and healthy communities are cared for by people who value nature and cultural diversity. Since 1978, BSLT, with support from donors and partners, has conserved over 45,000 acres across Monterey County.

The BSLT needs help researching and choosing a photo organization platform that is easily searchable and least costly (or free!) in the long run. BSLT currently uses Google Photo which is time consuming and lacks easy searching methods. This project is focused on a "search and test" mission in which the deliverable is your recommendation to the Communications Manager.

Once a system is chosen, the task will include organizing the photos into the new system and tagging them appropriately (e.g., by property, content, etc.). This opportunity requires knowledge of photo organization tools, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
