Position Description:
College Corps Fellows will assist VWS staff in reducing barriers to outdoor access for migrant-farmworking families and local communities in the Salinas Valley. Fellows will help provide meaningful outdoor experiences through weekly youth classes, weekend outings, family events, overnight camps, and community outreach. Responsibilities include co-leading environmental education lessons, preparing supplies and gear, participating in events, attending Friday staff meetings/trainings, and assisting with data entry.

Time Commitment & Availability:
Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Saturday–Sunday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
(Hours vary depending on assigned programs)
POPULATION SERVED: Students may be working unsupervised with minor or other vulnerable populations.,
SUPERVISION: Students may be required to work at night (after 6pm). Or, students may be supervised less than 50% of the time or the supervisor will be overseeing more than 8 people.,
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Students may be required to lift heavy items over 25 lbs or be potentially exposed to certain environmental conditions such as extreme weather, wearing protective gear, or applying sunscreen.
