Point Pinos Seawatch OutreachAt — Monterey Audubon Society (MAS)
The Point Pinos Seawatch Outreach engages visitors at one of the West Coast’s best seabird migration sites, located at the scenic tip of Pacific Grove. Working alongside professional counters and fellow volunteers, you’ll greet the public, answer questions, and share insights about bird migration, marine wildlife, and conservation. This role blends interpretation, informal education, and community building—helping connect people to the natural world while fostering stewardship of Monterey Bay’s unique ecosystems. Volunteers also learn to spot and identify seabirds, gain field observation experience, and practice communication skills with diverse audiences. It’s an opportunity to support ongoing scientific research while inspiring others to care for coastal wildlife. Ideal for students interested in environmental science, biology, communication, or education, the position offers practical experience, networking, and a meaningful way to make a local conservation impact. Training provided.
