Planned Giving Communication DevelopmentAt — Monterey Audubon Society (MAS)
Join Monterey Audubon Society in shaping the future of local conservation through a creative and impactful communications project. We’re seeking a volunteer to help design engaging planned giving materials that inspire supporters to leave a lasting legacy for birds and wildlife in the Monterey Bay region. You’ll work with staff to craft clear, compelling messaging and visually appealing layouts that explain the benefits and possibilities of legacy gifts. This is a chance to blend design, writing, and marketing skills for a real-world nonprofit need, while learning about philanthropy and conservation funding. Your work will directly support long-term sustainability for programs like Point Pinos Seawatch and community birding events. Perfect for students in communications, marketing, environmental studies, or nonprofit management who want portfolio pieces that make a genuine, lasting impact.
1 Service Learner Slot
The student will receive training in Monterey Audubon’s mission, planned giving basics, and audience engagement, along with hands-on guidance in writing, storytelling, and visual design. They’ll learn branding standards, use design tools, and follow a review process to create inspiring, accurate, and impactful legacy giving materials.
