School Programs Service LearnerAt — Monterey Bay Aquarium

Opportunity Summary 

Service learners will support Aquarium educators and volunteers in facilitating lab programs.

Students will commit to a weekly shift:

  • from 8:15 a.m. -1:15 p.m.
  • on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays
  • for 10 weeks

Free field trips to the Monterey Bay Aquarium inspire students K-12 and the adults who support them to care about the ocean. The interactions with role models, such as the volunteers, encourage student discovery and learning about conservation and science themes. Assist with setup and/or tear down of lab programs. Engage with students and chaperones during lab programs.
