Opportunity Summary 

Watsonville Works (WWKs) Program
WWKs reaches out and connects with unhoused adults in the South County Santa Cruz (Watsonville area) community with job preparedness and retention services. They go out with crew Tuesday-Thursday mornings to beautify the Watsonville community. Interns assist with crew work, providing referrals, assisting clients in accessing services and meeting personal goals, and support the program’s data/outcomes tracking system.

  • Reports to the WWKs Coordinator.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required.

Youth Homeless Response Team (YHRT) Program 
YHRT reaches out to and connects homeless and at-risk unaccompanied youth and young adults to individualized services and assistance to meet needs related to housing, education, employment, and support networks. Interns assist the YHRT Coordinator and Case Managers, provide referrals, assist clients in accessing services and meeting personal goals, and support the program’s data/outcomes tracking system.

  • Reports to the YHRT Coordinator.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish language skills preferred but not required.

Rental Assistance Program (RAP)
RAP supports community members of Santa Cruz County with financial assistance for past due rent. Interns support the call line, support with data entry, case management (depending on schedule), and support the RAP Case Manager’s with other duties as assigned.

  • Reports to the HPIS Programs Coordinator.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required.

HPIS Admin 
Interns support the HPIS Coordinator with administrative tasks regarding the HPIS programs. Interns will assist with reviewing time sheets, data entry, learn about grant budgeting and supervisory, as well as other duties as assigned.

  • Reports to the HPIS Programs Coordinator.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required.
Opportunity Training
