Opportunity Summary 

The B Strong Wrestling Club (BSWC) Web and Digital Media Service Learning experience provides college students with a meaningful applied-learning environment that directly connects coursework to real-world digital communication and content development. Service learners support the club’s outreach and engagement efforts by assisting with website updates, digital content creation, and brand-aligned messaging across online platforms. Students contribute to strengthening BSWC’s online presence while helping communicate the club’s mission, programs, and community impact.

1 Service Learner Spot

Participants may assist with website maintenance, social media scheduling, basic graphic or video content creation, and analytics or engagement tracking as needed. No prior experience in wrestling is required; guidance, expectations, and branding direction are provided. This opportunity offers a practical, hands-on way to fulfill service-learning requirements while developing transferable skills in digital media, communication, creativity, and professional collaboration.

Opportunity Training 

Students will receive an orientation to B Strong Wrestling Club’s mission, branding, and digital platforms, along with guidance on content creation best practices and professionalism. Ongoing mentorship and feedback will support students as they apply their skills in a real-world digital media environment.

Opportunity Supervision

Students will receive ongoing support through regular check-ins, clear task expectations, and direct supervision from a designated B Strong Wrestling Club staff member. Feedback will be provided on completed work, with guidance offered to support improvement, alignment with program goals, and professional development throughout the experience.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

All students participating in this opportunity are expected to adhere to B Strong Wrestling Club’s policies regarding professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate conduct when working with youth. Any digital media created must respect participant privacy and follow established photo and media consent guidelines. Students will be supervised at all times and will not be responsible for direct coaching or unsupervised interaction with minors.
