SURT Volunteer - Central Coast Overdose Prevention (CCODP)At — Central Coast Overdose Prevention (CCODP)
Have you ever wanted hands-on experience in public health, medicine, or social work while making a real impact in your community? Through Central Coast Overdose Prevention (CCODP), students can join our Substance Use Response Team as SURT volunteers.
You’ll shadow our trained Peer Support Specialists and be a part of a multidisciplinary team that includes addiction medicine physicians, public health professionals, and community advocates.
Volunteers will help distribute naloxone, hygiene supplies, and other harm reduction resources while building meaningful connections with people who are often overlooked by the healthcare system. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in team-based care, learn about addiction medicine and harm reduction, and be part of the work that saves lives!
