Opportunity Summary 

This is a summer school woodworking/construction class. The Summer Woodworking Assignment with help in providing additional support to high school students in jnots such as Blue print reading, material planning, Construction computer literacy, material calculations and job readiness professional skills.

Opportunity Training 

Student will be given assessment prior to its assigned date for content understanding. Student will participate in weekly discussion with Classroom Teacher to organize and understand the goals of each upcoming lessons. Student will spend first week of summer school class to shadow the teacher before direct student interaction. Interaction will begin and remain in small 2-4 high school students at a time.

Opportunity Supervision

Classroom Teacher is present at all time during the school day. Student volunteer is instructed to take record daily activities for weekly discussions and for teacher feedback.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Instruction and safety training of woodworking hand tools.
