This would be a hybrid opportunity to learn about our horses, learn what's needed to maintain our equine partners, the existing ranch, and current gaps in the nonprofit with the goal of long-term nonprofit sustainability.
Then the hybrid opportunity includes:
- researching current trends in the equine therapy industry
- running gap analyses and identifying key components toward gap elimination
- identifying potential future grant opportunities
- enhancing the nonprofit core model to align with state/Federal requirements for nonprofits.
Additionally, the hybrid opportunity includes developing key marketing to stakeholders, identifying new donor pathways, and analyzing new communication outreach efforts.

To ensure students can confidently perform their roles, the training program focuses on clear expectations, hands-on practice, and ongoing evaluation. This can take the form of weekly check-ins, safety protocol education, feedback integration, developing technical literacy, live demonstrations, collaborative teamwork, and reflective understanding of assigned tasks and outcomes. Depending on the length of service hours offered to students and existing classes and associated lessons, students will be trained on knowledge, skills, and abilities tied to tasks/activiities directed tasks/activities, but students will also learn how to identify resources necessary to complete assigned tasks via a combination of their existing background (education, past training) and directed training
Students will be expected to sign a program waiver before any engagement with the horses or clients served. if students are working hybrid behind the scenes, they would be expected to adhere to the protection of intellectual property and not use plagiarized work from another organization. If students believe AI would be beneficial for the nonprofit in any capacity, they need to review and cross-reference any AI-suggested content before submission because AI is known to make errors, incorrect suppositions, and utilize factually incorrect resources.
