BUS 399S: Business Analyst & Classroom Volunteer - Junior Achievement of Northern CaliforniaAt — Junior Achievement of Northern California

Junior Achievement (JA) empowers youth to believe in their potential and build bright futures. Through volunteer-led, hands-on learning experiences, JA delivers programs in financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship for students from elementary through high school. JA curriculum helps students explore careers, develop workplace skills, understand personal finance, and learn how businesses and economies work.

CSUMB business students will support Junior Achievement of Northern California through a 25-hour service-learning opportunity.

• Students will spend 10 hours analyzing JA’s volunteer recruitment and engagement efforts and developing recommendations to strengthen volunteer recruitment.
• Students will also complete 15 hours of direct classroom volunteering, leading JA Learning Experiences for middle and high school students in Monterey County.

Through this experience, students will strengthen leadership, communication, and business skills while inspiring the next generation of community leaders, expanding educational opportunities, and fostering long-term student success throughout Monterey County.
